Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will remain south of the State for the remainder of the
week. A low pressure trough lies well inland and is slowly moving east with
another trough developing over western parts on Thursday which will remain over
western parts throughout the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
and eastern Pilbara. Possible thunderstorms, with little or no rainfall, over
the inland Gascoyne, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, and Goldfields. Showers or drizzle about the Esperance coast. Very
hot over the southwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior, inland northern
parts of the South West Land Division, and northern and central Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 11 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, most parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, and far
western Eucla. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, inland
northern parts of the South West Land Division, and northern and eastern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Interior, central and
eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, most parts of the South West Land Division,
and Goldfields. Heavy falls possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley.
Very hot over the northern and eastern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 13 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far northeastern Interior,
possibly heavy at times over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the southeastern Gascoyne, eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, and Southern Interior. Very hot over the
northern and eastern parts of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
