Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara into next
week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the state. A trough will continue to
deepen down the west coast over the weekend before moving inland on Monday and
lying over central parts of the state by Tuesday. A weak high pressure ridge
will form over southwestern parts of the state in the wake of the trough.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 7 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, far eastern
Pilbara, and far northeastern Gascoyne. Showers or drizzle over the Eucla and
south coast and adjacent inland parts east of Walpole, clearing inland parts by
the afternoon. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, inland
Central West and northern parts of Lower West.

Forecast for Monday 8 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and eastern
Pilbara. Showers or drizzle over coastal and adjacent inland parts of the
Eucla, mostly morning. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne
and inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over central and
southwest parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, eastern
Pilbara and far northeast Gascoyne. Possible thunderstorms, with little or no
rainfall, over far eastern parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Showers or drizzle about southern coastal districts west of
Esperance. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Interior, inland northern parts of the South West Land Division, and northern
Goldfields. Windy over southwestern parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
and eastern Pilbara. Possible thunderstorms, with little or no rainfall, over
the inland Gascoyne, northeastern parts of the South West Land Division, and
central and west Goldfields. Showers or drizzle about southern coastal
districts east of Walpole. Very hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Interior, inland northern parts of the South West Land Division, and
northern and central Goldfields.
