Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara during the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough located over far eastern parts of the state is moving northeastwards
into the Interior as a new high pressure ridge develops to the south of the
state bringing south to southeasterly winds over southern parts. A west coast
trough will re-form on Friday bringing warm to hot and windy conditions to
southwestern parts.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, Interior, far eastern
Goldfields, and eastern Eucla. Light showers or drizzle over southern coastal
districts. Very hot over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, and northern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, eastern Interior and
eastern Eucla. Light showers or drizzle over southern coastal districts. Very
hot over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, and northern Goldfields. Windy
across southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall over the far east Pilbara, Interior, central and northern
Goldfields, and southwestern and far northeastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Light showers or drizzle about the south coast. Very hot over the
Kimberley, eastern and central Pilbara, Interior, and northern Goldfields. Hot
over most parts of the South West Land Division away from the south coast.
Windy across southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Sunday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall over the eastern Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, and eastern and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Very hot over the Kimberley, eastern and central Pilbara, Interior, and
northern Goldfields.
