Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara during the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough located over central parts of the state is moving eastwards and is
followed by a milder westerly change, and is expected to move further into the
Interior later today. A new high pressure ridge is also developing, expected to
bring south to southeasterly winds over southern parts of the State. A west
coast trough will re-form on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms over much of the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms
with little or no rainfall over the far eastern Pilbara, Interior, far
northeast Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields, and Eucla. Thunderstorms clearing from
far eastern South East Coastal early in the morning. Light showers or drizzle
south of about Bunbury to Esperance. Very hot over the Kimberley, east Pilbara,
Interior, eastern Goldfields and inland Eucla. Windy through the Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, Interior, far eastern
Goldfields, and eastern Eucla. Light showers or drizzle over southern coastal
districts. Very hot over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, and northern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern Kimberley, eastern Interior
and eastern Eucla. Light showers or drizzle over southern coastal districts.
Very hot over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, and northern Goldfields.
Windy across central and southwest districts in the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall central and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, Interior and far eastern and southwest Goldfields. Light showers or
drizzle about the south coast. Very hot over the Kimberley, eastern and central
Pilbara, Interior, and northern Goldfields. Windy across central and southwest
districts in the morning.
