Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara during the
weekend and in to next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over central inland parts of the State extends towards the southwest
corner. This southern end of the trough will be slowly pushed north today by a
strengthening high pressure system located to the south of the state. The
trough will extend back down the west coast on Sunday before moving inland
Monday and east across the state on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, adjacent northern Central Wheat Belt and
Interior. Little or no rainfall from thunderstorms away from the east Kimberley
and northeast Interior. Chance of morning fog over northern parts of the Lower
West district, Central West district, and adjacent Gascoyne. Very hot over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Interior, northeast Gascoyne and far
northern Goldfields. Windy across southern parts.

Fire Danger:
Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the Burrup fire weather district.

Forecast for Sunday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and east Pilbara, east
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern Interior. Light morning showers
about the south coast. Chance of morning fog over northern parts of the Central
West district and adjacent southwest Gascoyne. Very hot over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern Interior, inland Central West and adjacent
Lower West. Windy across central and southwest districts.

Forecast for Monday 25 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall over the central and eastern Pilbara, north Interior, far
eastern Gascoyne, western Goldfields and eastern parts of the South Wet Land
Division. Very hot over the Kimberley, central and east Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, north and west Goldfields, and southern and inland parts of the South
West Land Division. Windy across central and southwest districts in the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall over the eastern Pilbara, Interior, far eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal district. Possible light showers or
drizzle about coastal and adjacent parts of the South West district. Very hot
over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields and far eastern parts of
the South West Land Division.
