Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara this weekend and
next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge south of the State will weaken on Sunday. A broad trough
is expected to develop over inland southern WA on Saturday. The trough will
move east later on Sunday ahead of the next ridge arriving on the southwest
coast.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 16 December
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley and
the northeast North Interior. Chance of showers developing over most of the
South West Land Division in the afternoon. Chance of thunderstorms over the
Central Wheat Belt, southern Central West, Lower West, northern Great Southern
and far southwest Goldfields, most likely in the late afternoon and evening.
Very hot over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Goldfields, Interior, Gascoyne and inland
parts of the Central West, Lower West and Central Wheat Belt. Windy at times
through central and western parts.

Forecast for Sunday 17 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Kimberley and eastern Interior.
Chance of showers or thunderstorms over most of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla, gradually clearing. Very hot over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, eastern Goldfields, Interior and inland parts of Eucla. Windy across
southern inland districts.

Forecast for Monday 18 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Kimberley and far eastern Interior.
Chance of a light shower along the south coast between Albany and Eucla. Very
hot over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior and northern parts of
Central West. Windy across central districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Kimberley and northeastern Interior.
Very hot over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior and northern parts of
Central West. Windy across central and southwest districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
