Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system south of the State extends a firm ridge through
nearly the entire State. A trough lies near the north Kimberley coast. The
ridge will weaken today, allowing the trough to move back inland over the
Kimberley and the Pilbara later in the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system will move across from the east near the Eucla coast
during today. Elsewhere a trough near the west coast will move inland today
ahead of the next ridge of high pressure developing from mid week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 11 December
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers
over the Eucla, adjacent South Interior and South East Coastal. Areas of raised
dust over southwest Kimberley, northern Pilbara and northwestern parts of the
North Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 12 December
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms about the far north Kimberley. Showers
in the Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Light showers possible over the far
east South East Coastal District. Windy through the Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 13 December
Isolated shower or thunderstorm over the north and east Kimberley. Chance of a
light morning shower about the Eucla coast. Very hot over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 14 December
Isolated shower or thunderstorm over the north and eastern Kimberley. Chance of
a light shower about the south coast west of Israelite Bay. Very hot over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Goldfields, Interior, Gascoyne and inland northern
parts of the Central West.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
