Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern WA. The trough will be forced offshore from
the Pilbara coast by Sunday as a strong high pressure system moves south of the
State and extends a ridge through nearly the entire State. By Monday, the
trough will contract to the north Kimberley coast as the southeasterly surge
extends over southern and central Kimberley. The ridge will weaken from
Tuesday, allowing the trough to move back over land later in the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the central Interior will continue contracting away to the
northeast as a strong high pressure ridge develops over the region. The high
will move south of the State by Sunday and its associated ridge will extend
through all of southern and central WA, bringing fresh and gusty southeasterly
winds to most areas this weekend. The ridge will begin to gradually weaken from
Monday as a low pressure systems arrives near the Eucla coast from the east. A
trough is also developing down the west coast and will move offshore by Monday,
before moving back inland midweek.
