Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over inland parts during the week as a ridge develops along
the northwest coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough is located over the Goldfields and extends a branch west along the
south coast. The main trough will then be pushed more northeast into the South
Interior on Thursday but a branch will still extend back towards the south
coast. A ridge develops over southern parts of the state on Thursday and a new
trough will lie off the west coast on Friday. It will then move inland on
Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 29 November
Showers and thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla, far
southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of a light shower near the west coast and remaining southern
districts. Windy at times over eastern parts of the state.
Forecast for Thursday 30 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, east and
south of the South Interior, Eucla, and eastern Goldfields. Chance of a light
shower about the south coast between Walpole and Hopetoun. Windy at times over
eastern parts of the state.
Forecast for Friday 1 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley, mainly afternoon and
evening.
Forecast for Saturday 2 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, mainly afternoon and
evening. Chance of dry thunderstorms over the southeast Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and northwest of the South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
