Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies through central parts of the State, moving
northward towards the inland Pilbara and North Interior during today and Friday
as a high pressure ridge strengthens to the south.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A generally west-to-east oriented trough lies through central parts of the
State. A high pressure ridge through southern parts of the State will
strengthen pushing the trough well northward through the Gascoyne and Interior
today and further north into the Pilbara on Friday. The trough will also deepen
down the west coast on today and Friday with a low developing within the trough
near the Gascoyne coast. A broad east to southeasterly flow is expected through
most of southern and central WA during the next several days with fresh and
gusty periods of wind over central parts and the Scarp.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 16 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms through the southeast Goldfields, eastern South
East Coastal District, Eucla, and southern Interior. Showers and gusty
thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the north and east Kimberley,
remaining Interior, remaining Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, and Central West
and northern Central Wheat Belt districts. Fresh and gusty east to
southeasterly winds about central and southern parts of the State. Very hot
over inland western and southern parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 17 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern South Interior and east Eucla.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern Northern Interior and northern South
Interior. Patchy fog in the morning inland from the northern Gascoyne coast.
Fresh and gusty winds in the morning across the Scarp and through central parts
of the State. Very hot over inland western and central parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 18 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, and central and east Interior. Windy in the
morning through central parts. Temperatures warming down the west coast. Very
hot over the inland western and central parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 19 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, and North Interior. Windy in the morning
through central parts of the state. Temperatures continuing to warm down the
west coast. Very hot over western and central parts of the Kimberley.
