Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara. The western end of the
trough will be pushed east early next week as a high pressure system develops
to the west of the state bringing fresh southerly winds to the western Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough lies over inland parts of the state extending back towards the
southwest. The trough will slowly move east during the week as a weak cold
front approaches and forecast to brush the south west corner on Thursday. A
ridge rapidly develops along the south coast in the wake of the cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 6 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, Interior, inland
southeast Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Possible light shower over the
western south coast. Hot to very hot over the western Kimberley and inland east
Pilbara, and in southern parts away from the west coast. Morning fog possible
over the Central West, Lower West and adjacent parts. Smoke haze possible in
the Lower West district, mostly in southern parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 7 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, adjacent far eastern Pilbara, Interior, southern Goldfields, Eucla
and eastern parts of the South East Coastal district. Light showers over the
south coast west of Esperance.

Forecast for Wednesday 8 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
and northeastern half of the Interior. Light morning showers possible over the
eastern South Coastal district and South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Thursday 9 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley and
northeastern North Interior. Light showers over the southern Lower West, the
South West, South Coastal and eastern Great Southern districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
