Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
An offshore trough is moving over the Pilbara and the Kimberley as a ridge over
central Australia weakens. Day time sea breezes will become prominent as a
broad area of low pressure develops over inland areas in coming days, eroding
the dry air over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A patchy cloud band extending from the southern Pilbara to the South Interior
will slowly contract east over the next few days. A weak cold front is brushing
past the south coast. A new ridge will develop over the southwest coast tonight
in the wake of the front, and extend over the southern districts today. A
trough will begin to develop down the west coast as early as today and deepen
during the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 October
Possible light showers over the southern coastal districts, isolated afternoon
shower possible over the far north Kimberly coast. Chance of a thunderstorm
with little or no rainfall over the central parts of the Interior, far eastern
Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Very hot across northern parts of the State.
Windy over central parts of the State. Patchy morning frost over the western
parts of the Great Southern. Areas of smoke haze over the Kimberley and
adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 October
Isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm in the far north and northwest
Kimberley. Chance of a showers over the South Interior. Chance of a
thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over northern parts of the South West
Land Division and adjacent Gascoyne. Windy over central and southwestern parts
of the State. Very hot over the north of the State, temperatures increasing
near the west coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 November
Isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm in the northern Kimberley. Showers
with the chance of a thunderstorm over northern parts of the South West Land
Division, adjacent Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Very hot
over the north of the State, warm to hot across the northern and central parts
of the South West Land Division. Windy over central and southwestern parts of
the State.

Forecast for Thursday 2 November
Isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm over northern and eastern Kimberley.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the eastern parts of the Interior and
Eucla. Very hot over the north of the State, warm to hot across the northern
and central parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over central and
southern parts of the State.
