Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara. A new ridge developing to the
south will direct freshening winds from Monday across the Pilbara and extending
to the north Interior on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over inland parts of the South West Land Division and will move
east through the Goldfields on Sunday and South Interior on Monday. Meanwhile,
a weak cold front will brush past the south coast on Sunday. A firm ridge of
high pressure will then develop over the southwest in the wake of the trough
early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 22 October
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and far western
Eucla. Chance of thunderstorms over the eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Possible afternoon shower or
thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley. Possible early fog over the west
Kimberley. Very hot temperatures persisting across northern parts of the State.
Warm to hot through the inland South West Land Division. milder about the west
coast. Windy through central and southern parts.

Forecast for Monday 23 October
Showers over far southern parts of the South West Land Division and coastal
Eucla, contracting east during the morning. Chance of a morning thunderstorm
near the coast east of Esperance. Possible afternoon shower or thunderstorm
over the far northern Kimberley. Possible early fog over the west Kimberley.
Very hot temperatures across northern and central parts of the State, cooler
across the South West Land Division. Windy through central and southern parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 24 October
Possible afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Very hot
temperatures across northern and central parts of the State. Windy morning
through central parts and the northern South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 25 October
Possible afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Very hot
temperatures across northern and central parts of the State. Windy morning over
most of the State, away from the Kimberley.
