Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over the Bight is directing hot, fresh and gusty
easterly winds across the northern districts. Winds will start easing from the
middle of the week as the high moves east, allowing a weak trough near the
coast to move inland.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge is located over the interior and southern parts of
the state, while a surface trough is deepening near the west coast. The ridge
will slowly move east today, allowing the west coast trough to gradually move
inland on Tuesday, across the Goldfields on Wednesday before reaching the
Interior on Thursday. Meanwhile, a weak cold front will brush the southwest
corner of the state on Wednesday, followed by a weak ridge later in the week.
