Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak surface trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. The surface
trough will be pushed back towards the coast from Thursday as the next high
pressure ridge develops to the south bringing a return of moderate to fresh
southeasterly winds over northern parts of the state.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extending through inland parts of the state to the eastern
Eucla coast will continue to move east out of the state as a weak cold front
clears the east today and the next high pressure ridge pushes in from the west.
The high pressure ridge will strengthen over southern districts and persist for
the remainder of the week and into the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 October
Light morning showers along the south coastal fringe between Walpole and
Esperance. Chance of a thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the eastern
South East Coastal District, southeastern Goldfields and western Eucla,
clearing during the morning. Very hot across the west Kimberley, Pilbara and
northwest Gascoyne. Cooler temperatures across the south. Windy morning across
western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.
Forecast for Thursday 12 October
Light morning shower possible about the south coastal fringe between Albany and
Esperance. Chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm with little or no
rainfall over inland central parts of the Gascoyne. Very hot across the west
Kimberley, Pilbara, west Gascoyne and northern South West Land Division. Windy
morning across northern and central parts.

Mostly sunny. Very hot across the west Kimberley, Pilbara, west Gascoyne and
western parts of the South West Land Division. Windy morning across northern
and central parts.
Forecast for Saturday 14 October
Mostly sunny. Very hot across the west Kimberley, Pilbara, west Gascoyne and
western parts of the South West Land Division. Windy morning across northern
and central parts.
