Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge over southern WA is directing a hot southeasterly
surge across much of the northern districts, although a trough is lying over
the far west Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving eastward south of the Bight. A trough is
deepening along the west coast, before moving slowly inland over the weekend,
reaching the Goldfields and the far east South West Land Division on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 6 October
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley; and
over northwest parts of the North Interior, southwest Pilbara, and northern
inland Gascoyne, mainly in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh and gusty winds in
the morning through most parts of the State. Very hot in the southwest
Kimberley. Warm to hot over western parts.

Forecast for Saturday 7 October
Moderate to fresh and gusty winds in the morning through most parts of the
State. Very hot in the southwest Kimberley. Warm to hot over western parts.

Forecast for Sunday 8 October
Mostly sunny. Moderate to fresh and gusty winds in the morning over eastern and
southern parts. Warm to hot over western parts away from the west coast.

Forecast for Monday 9 October
Light showers possible southwest of Busselton to Albany, mainly later in the
evening.
