Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends through inland parts of the Kimberley and Pilbara. A new
ridge will strengthen into the Pilbara pushing the trough over the Pilbara
coast on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will deepen down the west coast on Wednesday before moving slowly
eastward during Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 September
Mostly sunny across the State. Chance of morning fog over the north and west
Kimberley, then the slight chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm along
the sea breeze in the far western Kimberley. Fresh and gusty winds in the
morning through the Gascoyne, Central West and northern Goldfields.
Unseasonably hot over the Pilbara and Gascoyne with September maximum
temperature records likely to be smashed in much of the Central West. Very warm
right down through the Lower West, South West, Great Southern and Central Wheat
Belt.

Forecast for Thursday 28 September
Possible morning fog over the west Kimberley. Remaining very hot over the
Pilbara and Gascoyne with possible record heat from the inland Central West
through the Central Wheat Belt and eastern Great Southern. Tending milder along
the Central West coast as well as the Lower West and South West. Chance of
high-based showers in the afternoon and evening over the eastern Wheat Belt,
eastern Great Southern, southwestern Goldfields, and western South East Coastal
District.

Forecast for Friday 29 September
Possible showers and thunderstorms in the southern Goldfields and South East
Coastal District. Tending cooler in southern and western parts of the South
West Land Division but remaining very warm to hot in the northeast, as well as
the Goldfields. Very hot conditions persisting through the inland Gascoyne and
Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 30 September
Showers over the southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Possible
showers and thunderstorms in the southern Goldfields, eastern South East
Coastal, and western Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
