Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A northeast flow across the Kimberley is weakening as a ridge through central
Australia pulls away. A weak trough over the Pilbara will extend through the
South Interior and the Kimberley during the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is extending east along the southern districts. A weak
cold front is moving east across the Bight and will bring light showers to the
southwest over the next couple of days. Meanwhile, a weak trough extending from
the eastern Gascoyne, across the Goldfields to the South Interior will move
north, out of the area by mid week. A west coast trough will form on Thursday
and bring warmer conditions to the South West Land Division.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 19 September
Few light showers southwest of Eneabba to Merredin to Israelite Bay, more
frequent about the southwest coast. Morning fog possible across southwest
Kimberley, adjacent Pilbara, and Eucla. Windy about the Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 20 September
Few light showers over the southern coastal districts. Chance of morning fog
over southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 21 September
Partly cloudy over the South West Land Division with chance of a light shower
over inland areas, mostly sunny elsewhere. Windy at times during the day
through the central districts.

Forecast for Friday 22 September
Chance of a light shower over southern and central parts of the South West Land
Division, Goldfields and adjacent Eucla. Windy at times during the day through
the eastern districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
