Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge extends over the Kimberley and North Interior from a high over the
southeast of the continent, resulting in fresher southeast to northeast flow.
Lighter winds expected over the Pilbara as a trough remains near stationary for
the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A north-to-south oriented trough stagnates over central parts of the State
through to Tuesday. A strong cold front is expected to reach the west coast on
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 11 September
Dry weather across the State. Areas of fog in the morning through the inland
South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty winds, especially in the morning,
through the Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 12 September
Possible showers south and west of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay, most likely
in the South West. Areas of fog in the morning over the southern Central West.
Slight chance of late showers or thunderstorm in the eastern Great Southern,
eastern Central Wheat Belt, southwestern Goldfields and South East Coastal
Districts. Fresh and gusty winds through the Kimberley and North Interior, and
in the afternoon across the Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 13 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Wiluna
to Cocklebiddy. Very windy at times over the southern half of the State.
Possible showers over the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 14 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, easing through inland parts. Showers
and the chance of thunderstorms over the Goldfields, eastern South East
Coastal, and Eucla districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
