Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over northern parts of the state will bring another round of fresh and
gusty easterly winds on Friday morning mostly over the Kimberley. Winds will
ease on Saturday as the ridge begins to weaken and moves east.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure centre is moving east over Bight waters with a surface trough
down the west coast. The trough and warmer temperatures will move inland on
Friday ahead of a weak cold front moving over southwestern parts of the South
West Land Division, followed by another cold front Saturday night into Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 1 September
Showers developing southwest of Perth to Walpole in the morning, extending to
southwest of Kalbarri to Hopetoun for a period in the afternoon and evening.
The chance of thunderstorms south of a line Augusta to Katanning to Bremer Bay,
most likely in the afternoon and evening. Windy over northern and central parts.

Forecast for Saturday 2 September
Showers southwest of Geraldton to Moora to Albany, with possible light showers
extending to southwest of Kalbarri to Merredin to Hopetoun for a period during
the day. Showers increasing south west of Perth to Albany during the evening.
Sunny over the remainder of the state.

Forecast for Sunday 3 September
Showers over the Lower West and southern coastal districts of the South West
Land division, with a period of showers extending through remaining parts of
the South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne and southwest Goldfields.
Showers contracting to coastal parts between Perth to Esperance by the evening.
Light falls over inland parts. Possible small hail

Forecast for Monday 4 September
Showers over the South West Land Division contracting to the south coast by the
evening.
