Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough extends over the Kimberley and Pilbara. A ridge will
extend into northern parts of the state on Thursday bringing a return to fresh
and gusty easterly winds. Winds will ease on Saturday as the ridge begins to
weaken and moves east.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends over southern parts of the state with a high
pressure centre moving east into Bight waters later today. A west coast surface
trough will then form later on today and into Thursday, bringing very warm, dry
conditions to much of the South West Land Division. The trough and warmer
temperatures will move inland on Friday ahead of a weak cold front moving over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division, followed by a vigorous
westerly airstream with embedded cold fronts over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 30 August
Partly cloudy over southern districts. A sunny day over the remainder. Morning
fog and frost patches over southern parts of the South West Land Division,
adjacent Goldfields and inland west Eucla. Windy over central parts.

Forecast for Thursday 31 August
Sunny. Morning fog and frost patches over eastern parts of South East Coastal
district, Eucla and adjacent Goldfields. Windy over northern and western parts.

Forecast for Friday 1 September
Showers developing southwest of Perth to Walpole in the morning, with possible
light showers extending to southwest of Kalbarri to Bremer Bay for a period in
the afternoon and evening. Morning fog patches over the South West district and
adjacent parts. Windy over northern and central parts.

Forecast for Saturday 2 September
Showers southwest of Geraldton to Moora to Albany, with possible light showers
extending to southwest of Kalbarri to Merredin to Hopetoun for a period during
the day. Showers increasing south west of Perth to Albany during the evening.
Sunny over the remainder of the state.
