Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high in the Bight is continuing to direct fresh and gusty east to northeast
winds across the north of the State. The high will move slowly east over the
next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system sits in the Bight and a trough extends down the west
coast. The high and trough will move east during the weekend ahead of a weak
cold front which will cross the southwest corner of the State on Sunday. A new
ridge will extend along the south coast from Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 26 August
Chance of a late shower about the southwest coast. Morning fog patches and
smoke possible over western parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over
northern and central parts of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 27 August
Showers developing southwest of Busselton to Walpole during the morning,
extending to southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and
evening. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm southwest of Mandurah to Albany.
Morning fog patches over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy
over northern and central parts.

Forecast for Monday 28 August
Isolated showers southwest of Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Morning fog patches over
inland parts of the Central West and the western Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Tuesday 29 August
Isolated light showers through southern coastal districts west of Israelite Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
