Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends over the western Pilbara and inland Gascoyne.
This trough will move east today while a high pressure system moves over the
south of State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will continue to rapidly develop in the wake of a cold
front moving over the south of the State today, before moving east as a surface
trough develops over western parts by Thursday. The southern end of the surface
trough will move east during Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 9 August
Showers along the south coast, mostly clearing during the afternoon. Possible
morning fog and frost over inland central and southwestern parts of the South
West Land Division. Not as windy in the morning through northern parts of the
State.

Forecast for Thursday 10 August
Showers developing over most parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields and far west Eucla. Morning frost possible over inland southern
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 11 August
Showers over most parts of the South West Land Division, though more likely
over eastern parts, and also over the southern Goldfields and west Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 12 August
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Eucla, though more likely over
the eastern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
