Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over the Gascoyne is moving east and building over
central Australia. A weak trough is slow moving over the eastern Kimberley and
North Interior. East to southeasterly winds will turn north to northeast on
Tuesday, ahead of a trough that will bring showers to western Pilbara on
Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure across the Gascoyne and South Interior is moving
slowly east, allowing a showery westerly flow to continue across the southwest
of the State. The ridge will recede east on Tuesday, as a moderate cold front
approaches the Southwest Capes late Tuesday. The cold front and associated rain
band will sweep through the central and southern parts of the State on
Wednesday and Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 31 July
Isolated light showers south of Gingin to Israelite Bay. Isolated showers over
southeast Kimberley and northeastern parts of the Interior. Areas of frost in
the morning through the eastern Gascoyne, western Goldfields and eastern
Central Wheat Belt. Areas of morning fog over much of the Southwest Land
Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 August
Showers west of Bunbury to Windy Harbour, increasing and extending west of
Pinjarra to Walpole in the evening. Chance of morning fog over inland southern
parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning frost over eastern
parts of the South West Land Division, southeast Gascoyne and western
Goldfields. Windy at times during the day over the eastern Kimberley, eastern
Interior and inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 August
Rain and showers over the South West Land Division and western Gascoyne,
spreading east to eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and western Pilbara
during the day, and to western parts of the South Interior in the evening.
Isolated gusty thunderstorms possible about the west coast south of Jurien Bay.
Chance of small hail across the southwest districts. Windy at times across
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, southern
Pilbara, Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 3 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, southern Pilbara, more
widespread with rain areas over the Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and about
the south coast. Chance of small hail across the southern coastal districts.
Windy at times across the Goldfields, South East Coastal, South Interior and
Eucla.
