Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weakening cloud band extending over western Pilbara dissipates as a ridge of
high pressure builds over the Gascoyne. The ridge will extend east during
Friday and Saturday with southeasterly winds becoming reestablished across the
Pilbara and Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system contracts eastwards near the southeast coast today. A
ridge builds over the western Gascoyne today and will extend further east
across the State during Friday. The ridge will persist and move over southern
districts on the weekend. Weak cold fronts will brush the south coast during
Friday and Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 27 July
Showers southwest of a line Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Eyre, most likely
about southern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Patchy
morning frost possible over the southeast Gascoyne. Winds gradually easing
about the south coast.

Forecast for Friday 28 July
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay,
most likely about the Lower West, South West and South Coastal Districts.
Showers increasing in the afternoon and evening in the southwest corner. Patchy
frost over northeastern parts of the South West Land Division, the eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 29 July
Showers across the South West Land Division, more widespread in the Lower West,
South West and South Coastal Districts. Areas of frost in the morning through
the eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and southern South Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 30 July
Showers across the South West Land Division, more widespread in the Lower West
and South West Districts. Areas of frost in the morning through the eastern
Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and southern South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
