Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure extends across southern WA, contracting eastwards as a
weak trough develops over the west Pilbara on Tuesday and moves to the
Kimberley by late Wednesday. Another ridge of high pressure develops in its
wake.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure extends across southern WA, contracting eastwards as a
cold front approaches the west coast during Tuesday afternoon and evening,
before moving across the majority of southern and western WA during Wednesday.
Another ridge of high pressure develops in its wake.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 18 July
Showers developing over the southwest capes in the morning and early afternoon,
extending to southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Bremer Bay by midnight.
Forecast for Wednesday 19 July
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Esperance in the morning, extending
to southwest of a line from Coral Bay to Leonora to Eyre by the afternoon.
Small hail in the south. Chance of a thunderstorm about the south coast.
Forecast for Thursday 20 July
Showers southwest of a line Perth to Bremer Bay and along the south coast.
Areas of morning frost and fog over the inland South West Land Division,
southern Gascoyne and Goldfields.
Forecast for Friday 21 July
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Israelite Bay. Areas of morning
frost and fog over the northern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
