Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
An unseasonal cloud band over the Kimberley and Interior is redeveloping and
expected to bring widespread rain again on Friday and Saturday before clearing
on Sunday. A high pressure ridge to the south is directing cool southeasterly
winds over the Pilbara, North Interior and Kimberley, easing from Sunday as the
ridge weakens and moves southeast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure is developing across the southern parts of the
State and will become established along the south coast for the remainder of
the week. The ridge will weaken and begin to move east ahead of a moderate cold
front approaching the Southwest Capes later on Sunday and moving through the
South West Land Division on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 30 June
Light showers about the southern coastal districts east of Windy Harbour, Eucla
and southeastern parts of South Interior. Rain and showers over northern,
central and eastern Kimberley, and northeastern parts of the Interior. Moderate
to heavy falls possible over the central and eastern Kimberley. Chance of
morning frost over inland South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.
Windy over the northern and central parts of the State.
Forecast for Saturday 1 July
Light showers about the South East Coastal district, Eucla and adjacent
southeast South Interior. Rain and showers over the northern, central and
eastern Kimberley and northeastern parts of the Interior, slowly contracting
east during the day. Chance of morning frost over inland South West Land
Division, west and north Goldfields, and far southwest Gascoyne. Windy morning
over the north of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 2 July
Light showers about the Eucla coast. Rain and showers clearing over northeast
Kimberley. Showers developing about the Southwest Capes later in the day.
Chance of morning frost over the far northern Central Wheat Belt, western and
northern Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne and South Interior. Windy morning over
the north of the State in the morning, windy at times in the far southwest.
Forecast for Monday 3 July
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Katanning to Bremer Bay, extending
north and east through remaining parts of the South West Land Division during
the day, and reaching far southwestern parts of the Gascoyne and Goldfields
during the evening. Chance of morning frost over the far north Goldfields,
eastern Gascoyne and South Interior. Windy over the southwest of the State.
