Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
An unseasonal cloud band over the Kimberley and Interior is expected to
redevelop during today and into Friday to bring widespread rain again, before
clearing on Sunday. A high pressure ridge to the south is directing cool
southeasterly winds over the Pilbara and North Interior, and is contracting a
broad area of low pressure over the Kimberley northwards.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak trough is brushing past the southeast coast today. A firm ridge of high
pressure is developing across the southern parts of the State and will become
established along the south coast for the remainder of the week. A moderate
cold front will approach the Southwest Capes later on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 29 June
Light showers over the southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and southern parts of the South Interior. Rain and showers
increasing over central and eastern Kimberley, and northeast Interior. Chance
of morning frost and fog over inland South West Land Division. Windy over the
northern and central parts of the State.
Forecast for Friday 30 June
Light showers about the southern coastal districts east of Windy Harbour and
eastern parts of South Interior. Rain and showers over central and eastern
Kimberley, and northeastern parts of the Interior. Moderate to heavy falls
possible over eastern Kimberley. Chance of morning frost over inland South West
Land Division and southwest Goldfields. Windy over the northern and central
parts of the State.
Forecast for Saturday 1 July
Light showers about the southern coastal districts about and east of Bremer Bay
and over the far eastern parts of South Interior. Rain and showers over central
and eastern Kimberley and northeastern parts of the Interior, slowly
contracting east during the day. Chance of morning frost over inland South West
Land Division and southwest Goldfields. Windy morning over the north of the
State.
Forecast for Sunday 2 July
Light showers about the Eucla coast. Rain and showers clearing over northeast
Kimberley. Showers developing about the Southwest Capes later in the day.
Chance of morning frost over northern Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne and South
Interior. Windy morning over the north of the State, windy at times in the far
southwest.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
