Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Light winds are causing somewhat warmer day time temperatures and more humid
conditions about coastal locations. A cooler and drier southeasterly flow
across the Pilbara and the North Interior as a new ridge strengthens to the
south, weakening late in the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weakening cold front is moving eastward through the South Interior and Eucla
region. Associated low pressure system near the Esperance and Eucla coast is
slowly moving east close to the south coast to reach the Bight on Saturday. A
new high pressure ridge is building across the South West Land Division,
weakening early Sunday. The next moderate cold front will sweep through the
southwest during Sunday, followed by a much stronger cold front on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 2 June
Slight chance of a morning shower along the Central West coast south of
Geraldton. Light showers over the south coastal districts west of Bremer Bay,
southern and eastern Great Southern, eastern Central Wheat Belt and southern
Goldfields, clearing during the day but continuing over coastal parts further
east, and most widespread about the Esperance coast and Eucla coast. Colder
with possible morning frost and fog through inland parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy over Eucla, adjacent Goldfields and Esperance coast.

Forecast for Saturday 3 June
A possible morning shower about the South Coastal District. Showers continuing
over the South East Coastal District, southeast Goldfields and far southern
South Interior but gradually contracting eastwards during the day. Showers and
the chance of a thunderstorm over Eucla, especially near the coast. Areas of
morning frost and fog through inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 4 June
Morning frost in parts of the inland South West Land Division, Goldfields,
southern Gascoyne, and South Interior. Chance of morning fog over eastern Great
Southern, inland South East Coastal and far southern Goldfields. Showers
throughout the South West, extending to south and west of a line from Kalbarri
to Southern Cross to Esperance by Sunday evening. Chance of gusty thunderstorms
about the southwest coast. Possible early coastal showers and chance of a
thunderstorm east of Esperance. Becoming windy over parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 5 June
Showers over southwest Gascoyne, western Goldfields, far western Eucla and
South West Land Division. Gusty thunderstorms with possible heavy falls about
the western coastal districts. Windy over the southern parts of the State.
