Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge through central Australia will weaken today. Lighter winds and warmer
temperatures return from Thursday, with a more humid flow about coastal
locations. A cooler, drier southeasterly surge will extend across the Pilbara
and North Interior by the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A moderate cold front will move through the South West Land Division with an
associated low pressure system today, before moving east across the Goldfields
and Interior on Thursday. A new ridge will extend over the South West Land
Division on Friday from the west.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 31 May
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southwest
Goldfields, and far western Eucla districts, more frequent in the southwest.
Chance of thunderstorms southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Esperance.
Possible heavy falls over the Central West, northeast Lower West, western
Central Wheat Belt, northern Great Southern and closer to the south/southwest
coasts.
Forecast for Thursday 1 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, southeast Gascoyne, southern and
central Goldfields and western Eucla districts, more frequent over the southern
coastal districts. Chance of thunderstorms about the southern Central Wheat
Belt, Great Southern, southwestern Goldfields, eastern South Coastal, and South
East Coastal districts.
Forecast for Friday 2 June
Showers about the west coast south of Dongara, southern parts of the South West
Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Possible morning frost through
inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 3 June
Showers about the South West coast, South Coastal, South East Coastal, southern
Goldfields, Eucla, and far Southern Interior districts. Possible morning frost
through inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, and
western Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
