Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over central Australia is directing cooler and drier easterly flow
across the north with another southeasterly surge due to arrive today as a new
ridge builds across the south; maintaining cool, dry and windy conditions into
the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing across the west coast and will
strengthen across the southern parts of the State today and Friday. The ridge
is expected to remain slow moving until early next week. Meanwhile, a weak
trough will brush past the southwest coast on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 25 May
Light showers along the south coast and adjacent inland areas. Windy over
central and eastern parts. Cooler than normal at night across the Kimberley and
North Interior. Chance of morning frost across Central Wheat Belt, northern
Great Southern and adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 26 May
Possible light morning shower along the south coast between Windy Harbour and
Israelite Bay. Windy over central and northern parts. Cooler than normal at
night across the Kimberley. Chance of morning frost across Central Wheat Belt,
northern Great Southern and southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 27 May
Showers about the southwest coast. Windy over western Pilbara and southern
Kimberley. Cooler than normal at night across inland areas. Chance of morning
frost across inland parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, adjacent
Eucla and southern parts of the Interior. Chance of morning fog across southern
central Wheat Belt, adjacent Goldfields, northern Great Southern and adjacent
South West district.

Forecast for Sunday 28 May
Showers about the South West and western parts of South Coastal districts.
Cooler than normal at night across inland areas. Chance of morning frost across
inland parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, inland Eucla and
southern parts of the Interior.
