Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over central Australia is directing cooler and drier easterly flow
across the north. Another southeasterly surge will arrive on Thursday as a new
ridge builds across the south; maintaining cool, dry and windy conditions into
the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak trough is crossing the west coast as a ridge over central and eastern
parts moves east. Associated patchy cloud band extends across the west and
southwest. A weak cold front will move across the South West Land Division
today, before weakening further over eastern inland areas. Another high
pressure ridge will develop in the wake of the cold front, strengthening on
Thursday and Friday across the southern parts of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 24 May
Showers southwest of a line Denham to Cocklebiddy. The chance of a morning
thunderstorm along the west coast and adjacent inland parts between Dongara and
Yanchep. Windy over eastern Eucla. Cooler than normal at night across the
Kimberley and western Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 25 May
Light showers along the south coast. Windy over central and eastern parts.
Cooler than normal at night across the Kimberley and North Interior. Chance of
morning frost across southern Central Wheat Belt, adjacent Great Southern and
Adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 26 May
Possible light morning shower along the south coast between Windy Harbour and
Israelite Bay. Windy over central and northern parts. Cooler than normal at
night across the Kimberley. Chance of morning frost across inland parts of the
South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 27 May
Light showers along the south coast between Windy Harbour and Israelite Bay.
Windy over western Pilbara. Cooler than normal at night across inland areas.
Chance of morning frost across inland parts of the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, inland parts of Eucla and southern parts of the Interior.
