Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A firm high pressure ridge over northern parts of the State is directing a
fresh and gusty east to southeasterly flow.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the interior will move eastwards on Wednesday ahead of a moderate
cold front crossing the south of the State. A weak ridge will follow in the
wake of the front on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 May
Showers and gusty thunderstorms through the far southwest Pilbara, southwestern
Gascoyne, South West Land Division, Goldfields and western parts of Eucla.
Windy across the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields and Eucla district. Small hail possible over the the far southwest
of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 11 May
Showers about the south coast and adjacent inland areas, contracting east
during the day. Windy about the south coast and southern Eucla district. Areas
of morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 12 May
Showers developing about the southwest coast. Windy in the morning across
northern WA.
Forecast for Saturday 13 May
Showers extending over the Southwest Land Division, southern Goldfields, and
western Eucla with showers more frequent about far southwestern parts of the
State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
