Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over central and southern parts of the State directs a
cool and dry southeasterly surge over northern parts this week, keeping a
trough offshore.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An unseasonal cool to cold southwesterly flow persists over the south of the
State, while a ridge of high pressure straddles the northern parts of the South
West Land Division. The ridge will weaken today as a weak cold front moves
across the far southwest. A new ridge of high pressure will develop across the
southern parts of the State by Tuesday and persist for the remainder of the
next week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 17 April
Showers southwest of Mandurah to Albany, spreading to south of Lancelin to
Esperance during the day. Chance of morning fog across northern inland parts of
South West, inland Central West, inland Lower West, Central Wheat Belt and
southwest Goldfields. Windy in the far southwest.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 April
Possible light showers over the South East Coastal District and southern parts
of Eucla, contracting east during the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 April
Chance of a light shower about the Eucla district coast and far eastern parts
of the South Interior. Windy across central and northern parts.

Forecast for Thursday 20 April
Chance of a light shower about the Eucla district east. Chance of morning fog
through the South East Coastal district. Windy across central and northern
parts.
