Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the far northern Kimberley will move offshore this morning, as a
high pressure ridge over central and southern parts of the State extends a
southeasterly surge over northern parts, keeping the trough offshore next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An unseasonal cool to cold southwesterly flow persists over the south of the
State, while a ridge of high pressure straddles the northern parts of the South
West Land Division. A weak trough will brush past the southwest coast on Sunday
and will be followed by a weak cold front on Monday. A new ridge of high
pressure will develop across the southern parts of the State by Tuesday and
persist for the remainder of the next week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 16 April
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the far northern Kimberley, contracting
offshore later in the day. Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Hyden to Bremer
Bay and along the Esperance coast.

Forecast for Monday 17 April
Showers southwest of Rockingham to Bremer Bay, spreading to southwest of Gingin
and Esperance during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 April
Possible light showers over the South East Coastal District and southern parts
of Eucla, contracting east during the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 April
Chance of a light shower about the Eucla district coast and far eastern parts
of the South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
