northward toward the Pilbara coast later Monday into Tuesday. A tropical low
currently over the Timor Sea will move towards the west-southwest and is
forecast to intensify during the weekend, likely reaching cyclone intensity

A high pressure ridge lies over southern WA while a trough extends from the
inland Gascoyne through the Lower West and adjacent offshore waters. The trough
will move slowly inland today before dissipating on Sunday. A cold front will
cross the southwest of WA later Monday, followed by a weak trough clipping the
southwest coast on Tuesday. A high pressure ridge will strengthen through
central parts of the State during Monday night and Tuesday.
