Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara. A tropical low is forecast
to intensify while it moves west over waters offshore from the north Kimberley
coast on Sunday and offshore from the northwest Kimberley coast on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over southern WA is moving southeast and will be centred
in the Bight by Sunday. A trough will deepen down the west coast today, and
slowly move east tomorrow, before weakening out on Sunday. A cold front will
approach the west coast on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 7 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and northern and western parts
of the Interior. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over western and
central parts of the South West Land Division south of Jurien Bay. Showers over
remaining parts of the South West Land Division south of Northampton, southern
Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 8 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over northern and western Kimberley, central
and eastern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and western parts
of South Interior. Showers over southeast Gascoyne, southern Goldfields,
eastern parts of South Interior, Eucla, and southern and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 9 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over northern and central Kimberley, inland
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields, and western and southern
Interior. Showers about the southeastern parts of the South West Land Division
and Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 10 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over northern and western Kimberley. Showers
over inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, southern and
western parts of the South West Land Division, and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
