Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the State and is more active across
southern Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge near the south coast is expected to weaken later today. A
deep trough and a low pressure system lies near the coast and is weakening
ahead of a weak ridge developing near the west coast later in the weekend. A
weak front will approach the southwest coast on Monday and deepen on Tuesday as
it moves across the south coast.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over northeast Gascoyne, central and northern parts
of the Interior, northern Goldfields, eastern and central Kimberley and
southern Pilbara. Rain areas over northeast Gascoyne and and northern parts of
South Interior. Showers over the South West Land Division, remaining Goldfields
and Eucla. Showers contracting east from the west coast.

Forecast for Sunday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields,
Kimberley, and northern and central Interior. Possible showers over northeast
Central Wheat Belt, remaining Goldfields, and southern coastal districts east
Walpole.

Forecast for Monday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, far northern
Goldfields, Kimberley, and northern and central Interior. Showers over
northeast Central Wheat Belt, southern Gascoyne and southern coastal districts.
Chance of morning fog over southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, far northern
Goldfields, Kimberley, northern and central Interior, eastern parts of South
East Coastal, adjacent Goldfields and adjacent Eucla. Showers over eastern and
southern parts of the South West Land Division, southeast Gascoyne and eastern
Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
