Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the State and is more active across
the Pilbara and adjacent North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge remains near the south coast and is expected to weaken on
Saturday. A trough is deepening in the vicinity of the west coast. The trough
will weaken and move inland on Saturday ahead of the next ridge of high
pressure.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 31 March
Showers, gusty thunderstorms and rain at times with possible heavy falls over
southern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, western parts of central Interior,
northwest Central Wheat Belt, Lower West and adjacent Central West. Showers and
thunderstorms with rain areas over the remaining South Interior. Showers and
thunderstorms over west Pilbara, North Interior, remainder of the Gascoyne,
western Goldfields and South West Land Division north of a line Bunbury to
Ravensthorpe. Showers over the remainder of the South West Land Division,
eastern Goldfields and western Eucla. Chance of morning fog over northern parts
of Central West and adjacent Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms with rain areas over southern Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields, eastern and northern Kimberley and northern
and central Interior. Showers over the South West Land Division, remaining
Goldfields and Eucla, contracting east from the west coast.

Forecast for Sunday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the southwest Pilbara, northern Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields, Kimberley, and northern and central Interior. Possible
showers over northeast Central Wheat Belt, remaining Goldfields, southern
Gascoyne and southern coast districts east Walpole.

Forecast for Monday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, Kimberley, and northern Interior. Possible showers over northeast
Central Wheat Belt, southern Gascoyne and southern coast districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
