Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the State and will remain in place
into the early week. Another trough is deepening down the west Pilbara coast. A
weak tropical low northwest of the Pilbara will move southeast during Tuesday
and potentially cross the west Pilbara coast either on Wednesday or early
Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the Interior with the ridge continuing to become established
through southern and western parts of the State. A weak trough will begin to
develop down the west coast on Tuesday and Wednesday and move inland towards
the end of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 28 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms with possible moderate to heavy rainfall over
the southeast Pilbara and eastern Gascoyne. Showers and thunderstorms over the
remaining inland Gascoyne, Pilbara western Kimberley, and northern and central
Interior. Possible light showers near the south coast east of Bremer Bay. Areas
of fog in the morning over inland southern parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 March
Showers over much of the State, apart from the far southern parts of the State
and less likely over the Kimberley and North Interior. Thunderstorms over the
Pilbara, Gascoyne, western Kimberley, Interior, far northern Goldfields and
inland northern Central West district. Possible moderate to heavy rainfall with
thunderstorms over the west and central Pilbara and inland north Gascoyne.
Areas of fog in the morning over inland southern parts of the South West Land
Division and western Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 30 March
Showers over much of the State but less likely over the Kimberley, North
Interior and far southern parts of the South West Land Division. Thunderstorms
over the Gascoyne, western Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, northern Goldfields
and inland northern Central West district. Possible moderate to heavy rainfall
with thunderstorms over the western Pilbara and inland north Gascoyne. Areas of
fog in the morning over far southern inland parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Friday 31 March
Showers over most of the State with just a chance near the west coast,
Kimberley and North Interior. Possible thunderstorms over the inland Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and western Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
