Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the State and will remain in place
into early next week. A weak tropical low and associated trough north of the
Pilbara may approach the coast during Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies south of the State while a trough extends down the
west coast. Another trough extends from the Pilbara southeastward into the
Interior. The trough down the west coast will start to move inland later today
and into Sunday as a new ridge strengthens into the southwest corner of the
State. By Monday the trough will be over the Interior with the ridge continuing
to become established through southern and western parts of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 25 March
Showers and thunderstorms across mainly northern and western parts of the
Kimberley, the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and most of the South West
Land Division. Moderate to heavy rainfall possible over the inland South West
Land Division, Goldfields, inland Gascoyne and southern Pilbara. Thunderstorms
over the inland Central West and parts of the Wheat Belt and Great Southern may
be severe, with damaging winds and large hail. Showers and storms over the west
coast will be less likely, and will mostly come later in the day and at night.
Humid conditions throughout the South West Land Division and Goldfields with
areas of morning fog over the southeast coastal region.

Forecast for Sunday 26 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, western and southern Interior, and over the South
West Land Division south of Dalwallinu. Moderate to heavy rainfall possible
over southern central parts, the Goldfields and western Interior. Possible
large hail associated with thunderstorms in the Goldfields. Thunderstorms
mostly early in the day over the South West and Lower West. Remaining humid
across the South West Land Division and Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 27 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over western Kimberley, Pilbara, northern
Gascoyne, north Goldfields, Eucla, and Interior. Moderate to heavy falls
possible from thunderstorms over the inland Pilbara and Interior. Possible
showers over the southern Gascoyne, Goldfields, and south coastal districts.
Less humid across the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 28 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible moderate to heavy rainfall over the
Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and western and northern Interior. Chance of showers
and storms in the central Gascoyne and northern and western Kimberley. Light
showers over the south coastal districts with areas of fog in the morning over
inland southern parts of the State.
