Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak, slow moving trough lies over inland Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight with a ridge strengthening over
southern parts of the State and a trough deepening near the west coast. The
trough will move slowly in from the west coast later Tuesday and Wednesday
before extending back towards the west coast later in the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 20 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern parts of
the Interior and inland Gascoyne, mostly afternoon and evening. Windy at times
over central and southern parts. Very hot over the inland southwest Kimberley,
North Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, inland Central West, and northwest
Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Tuesday 21 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, south and west Goldfields, west Eucla and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, mostly afternoon and evening. Very hot over the inland
southwest Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, inland Central
West and northern Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Wednesday 22 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north Kimberley, central and west
Pilbara, Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields, west Eucla and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, mostly afternoon and evening. Very hot over the
inland southwest Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and
northern Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Thursday 23 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far northeast Pilbara,
southern Gascoyne, west Goldfields, and northeastern parts of the South West
Land Division, mostly afternoon and evening. Possible showers about the south
coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
