Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad slow moving trough lies over inland Kimberley and Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure extends across southern WA. A trough will develop
about the west coast on Tuesday as the ridge starts to move east. The trough
will deepen on Wednesday and move east across the South West Land Division on
Thursday, followed by another ridge of high pressure.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 6 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and northwestern
parts of the North Interior. Light showers along the south coast. Becoming
windy over Eucla, South Interior, Goldfields and over the Darling Scarp in the
evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 7 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northeastern
parts of North Interior and far northern Gascoyne. Windy over central and
western parts of the State, and over the Darling Scarp in the early morning and
again in the evening. Very hot in the Central West.
Forecast for Wednesday 8 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Pilbara, inland Gascoyne
and central and western parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over
inland Central West and northern parts of Central Wheat Belt.
Forecast for Thursday 9 March
Showers and thunderstorms over northern and central Kimberley, western Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne and South West Land Division. Very hot over inland Central
West and northern parts of Central Wheat Belt.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
