Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A slow moving trough extends across the Kimberley to the Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends over the south coast, while a trough is
deepening near the west coast. The trough will remain near stationary, moving
inland from the west coast on Friday as the ridge weakens. A new ridge will
build over the southwest coast in the wake of the trough from later Friday and
across the South West Land Division on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 2 March
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern, eastern and western
Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and western parts of the South West Land Division.
Windy over the Gascoyne in the morning. Hot to very hot over northern and
central parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 3 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over western and central Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne and South West Land Division. Hot to very hot over the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Saturday 4 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne
and northwestern parts of the Interior. Showers over western parts of Eucla,
Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne, western parts of the Interior, far eastern and
southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over Goldfields, Eucla,
South Interior and South East Coastal. Hot to very hot over the far northern
parts of the South West Land Division and eastern parts.

Forecast for Sunday 5 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Pilbara and
northwestern parts of the North Interior. Showers over eastern parts of Eucla,
far eastern Goldfields, South Interior and about the south coast. Windy over
eastern and central parts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
