Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara and Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will linger inland from the west coast until it is pushed east by a
cold front moving over the southwest of the state on Thursday and Friday. A
ridge of high pressure will develop along the south coast in the wake of the
trough.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 22 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley north and west Interior,
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla, and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division. Very hot across much of the State apart from the
Kimberley, and southern and west coastal parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 23 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley north and west Interior,
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla, and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division. Showers over the South West, South Coastal and
southern parts of the Great Southern.Very hot over southeastern parts. Cooler
temperatures over the South West Land Division and adjacent parts.

Forecast for Friday 24 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, northern
Gascoyne, northwestern Goldfields, and central and eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 25 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north Interior, Pilbara,
north and west Gascoyne, and far northern Central West district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
