Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North
Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad area of high pressure will remain in the Bight for the next few days,
weakening from Sunday. A new ridge will approach the west coast from Monday.
Meanwhile, a weak trough is developing over inland parts of the South West Land
Division and over inland Gascoyne. The trough is likely to be slow moving until
next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 17 February
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara,
western parts of the Interior, and far northeastern parts of the Goldfields.
Chance of morning fog in the far southwest. Very hot over northern and central
parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 18 February
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara,
northeastern Gascoyne, and western parts of the Interior. Chance of morning fog
over South East Coastal district. Very hot over northern parts of the South
West Land Division, and central and northern parts of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Isolated showers and gusty
thunderstorms over the Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, far northern
Eucla and far western parts of the Interior. Very hot across much of the State
apart from northern Kimberley and southern parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Monday 20 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and adjacent North Interior.
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, Goldfields, adjacent South Interior, Eucla and far eastern parts of
the South West Land Division. Very hot across much of the State apart from the
northern Kimberley, and southern parts and west coast of the South West Land
Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
