Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North
Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough extends from the western Pilbara to the southeast of the State.
The southern end of the trough will be pushed northeast out of the state by
Thursday, as a high pressure ridge extends east along the southern districts. A
weak trough will develop near the west coast on Thursday before moving inland
ahead of the remnants of a cold front brushing the western south coast on
Friday. A new high pressure ridge will develop over the South West Land
Division on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 9 February
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northwest Pilbara
during the afternoon and evening. Possible morning coastal shower along the
Esperance coast. Very hot over northern parts of South West Land Division,
central and northern parts.

Forecast for Friday 10 February
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara, mostly
afternoon and evening. Isolated gusty thunderstorms with little or no rainfall
over the eastern Gascoyne and western Goldfields. Very hot over inland parts of
the South West Land Division, central and northern parts.

Forecast for Saturday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and far northeast
Gascoyne, mostly afternoon and evening. Very hot over central and northern
parts.

Forecast for Sunday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northeast Gascoyne
and Interior. Very hot over northern parts of South West Land Division, central
and northern parts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
