Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara and Kimberley. A dry
southeasterly wind change is pushing a trough across southern Kimberley
northwards, with the trough expected to become slow moving near the north coast
until next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure is extending across the southern half of the
state for the remainder of the week. A trough has become slow moving over the
far northern parts of the South West Land Division and over the Gascoyne. The
trough is expected to extend down the west coast over the weekend as the ridge
starts to weaken.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 2 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over northern and western Kimberley, northwest
North Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and northern Central West district.
Chance of a light shower about the south coast. Windy morning over the
Gascoyne, Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot over the Central West
district and western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 3 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley,
Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern parts of Central West district. Chance
of a light shower about the south coast east of Esperance. Windy morning over
the Gascoyne, Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot over the western
Gascoyne, Central West and inland parts of Lower West.

Forecast for Saturday 4 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley,
central and western Pilbara, western and central Gascoyne and northern parts of
Central West district. Chance of a light shower about the Eucla coast. Windy
morning over western Gascoyne, Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot over
the Central West, Lower West, western parts of Central Wheat Belt and South
West districts.

Forecast for Sunday 5 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley,
western Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and northern parts of Central West district.
Chance of a light shower about the South Coastal District. Very hot over inland
parts of South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
