Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara, North Interior and
Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weakening ridge of high pressure lies to the southeast of the State and a
trough inland from the west coast. Another ridge develops to the southwest of
the State late today, pushing the trough over far northern parts of the
Southwest Land Division

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 31 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern parts of
the Interior, Gascoyne, northern and central parts of the South West Land
Division and western Goldfields. Possible light showers about the south coastal
districts west of Esperance. Very hot over inland parts of Central West and
northern parts of Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Northern Interior,
inland Gascoyne and northeast parts of the Central West district. Possible
light showers about the south coastal districts east of Bremer Bay. Windy
morning over the Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot over the inland
northern Central West.

Forecast for Thursday 2 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Gascoyne and in
the far northeast Central West district. Windy morning over the Lower West and
adjacent districts. Very hot over the Central West district.

Forecast for Friday 3 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, Pilbara and
Gascoyne and in the far northeast Central West district. Windy morning over the
Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot over the Central West district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
