Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists over the Kimberley. Another trough is
moving north across the Pilbara and North Interior ahead of a southeast wind
change.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends across the southern parts of the State
for the remainder of the week. A trough deepening down the west coast will
become slow moving till late in the weekend or early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 18 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, and
northern Gascoyne. Chance of a light shower on the south coast. Windy over
southern and central parts. Hot to very hot over the Gascoyne, northern Central
West and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 19 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior,
Gascoyne, northwest Goldfields and northern half of the South West Land
Division. Light showers on the south coast. Hot to very hot over the Gascoyne
and northern Central West district. Windy over the Gascoyne, Central West and
northern parts of Lower West.

Forecast for Friday 20 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern parts of
the Interior, northwest Gascoyne, and northern half of the Central West
district. Hot to very hot over the Gascoyne and northern Central West district.

Forecast for Saturday 21 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern parts of
the Interior, western Gascoyne, Central West and northern parts of Lower West.
Hot to very hot over the Gascoyne and northern Central West district. Windy
over the Gascoyne, Central West and northern parts of Lower West.
